
加纳总统约翰·马哈马先生和第一夫人洛迪娜·马哈马女士上周末抵达中国北京,参加全球妇女领导人会议。
加纳是撒哈拉以南非洲最早同中国建交的国家之一,也是中国在非洲的重要战略伙伴。

在今年的非洲妇女日,加纳还举行了《平权行动(性别平等)法案》高级别全国启动会,该法案的通过开启了加纳致力于促进性别平等、包容性治理和社会转型的新篇章。
在北京倡导妇女赋权期间,马哈马总统及其代表团将重点加强与加纳的联系和投资。

此外,马哈马总统还将与中华人民共和国主席习近平阁下和中华人民共和国国务院总理李强阁下举行会谈。
他还将与中国商界领袖会面,并主持总统投资论坛,预计将加纳企业、中国同行和投资者聚集在一起,探索在加纳的机会。
马哈马总统在贸易、农业综合企业和工业部长伊丽莎白·奥福苏-阿贾雷,以及加纳投资促进中心、自由区管理局和加纳出口促进局官员的陪同下,也将访问福建省,会见在加纳开展业务的企业。
这些接触将加强加纳和中国之间的长期伙伴关系,并促进在共同关心的领域加强合作。
总统代表团中还包括:

加纳性别、儿童和社会保护部长艾格尼丝·纳莫莫·拉蒂博士、加纳外交部长塞缪尔·奥库泽托·阿布拉夸、加纳道路和公路部长夸梅·阿格博扎,以及加纳财政部副部长托马斯·安佩姆·尼亚尔科。
随行的还有:总统执行秘书 Callistus Mahama 博士、总统顾问兼特别助理 Joyce Bawah Mogtari 女士、总统副发言人 Shamima Muslim 和总统幕僚 Nana Yaa Gyantuah。

President John Mahama and First Lady, Lordina Mahama have arrived in Beijing, China to participate in a Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women.
Hosted by President Xi Jinping and UN Women, the 13 and 14 October meeting will bring together other world leaders to renew the spirit of the 1995 Beijing Declaration and also accelerate its implementation.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women, organised by the UN and held in Beijing.
While in Beijing to champion women’s empowerment, President Mahama and his delegation will focus on strengthening Ghanaian ties and investment.
Additionally, President Mahama will hold discussions with his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping and with the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Li Qiang.
He will also meet with Chinese business leaders and host a Presidential Investment Forum, expected to bring Ghanaian businesses, their Chinese counterparts and investors together to explore opportunities in Ghana.
President Mahama, who is accompanied by the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare and officials of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, the Free Zones Authority and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, will also visit Fujian Province to meet businesses with a presence in Ghana.
These engagements are expected to strengthen the long-standing partnership between Ghana and China and promote greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Also included in the president’s delegation are the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza and the Deputy Minister for Finance, Thomas Ampem Nyarko.
The rest are the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama, Presidential Advisor and Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, Shamima Muslim and Presidential Staffer, Nana Yaa Gyantuah.
