近日,阿索戈里大酋长(国王),深能源(加纳)电厂联合创始人兼董事:十四世托比·阿菲德阁下(Togbe Afede XIV)四名投资和技术人员组成的代表团参观了利比里亚首都蒙罗维亚,并与之谈判以达成在西非国家发电部门的项目协议。

近日,阿索戈里大酋长(国王),深能源(加纳)电厂联合创始人兼董事:十四世托比·阿菲德阁下(Togbe Afede XIV)四名投资和技术人员组成的代表团参观了利比里亚首都蒙罗维亚,并与之谈判以达成在西非国家发电部门的项目协议。

他向利比里亚政府解释了其报价道,三管齐下报价中的第一项是寻求获得利比里亚现有 88 兆瓦 Mt Coffee 水力发电厂的权益。

其次,投资是在中期以“ BOO 或 BOOT”模式将现有的 Mt Coffee 水力发电厂扩大 60-80MW。

托比阁下继续介绍,从长远来看,第三项提议是在圣保罗河上开发一座新的水力发电厂,以增加利比里亚的发电能力。

在谈到对该国投资的预期收益时,他还透露,已表达对现有Mt矿山的兴趣;对于咖啡水力发电厂或将提供资金,以帮助当地政府修复电力供应价值链。


同时,十四世托比·阿菲德阁下透露,该交易将使利比里亚通过连接科特迪瓦,塞拉利昂,利比里亚和几内亚的西非电力池输电线路,使利比里亚实现能源自给自足并成为电力净出口国。

托比阁下在解释投资将如何确保利比里亚电力消费者的利益时,预测该国的电价最终将变得非常具有竞争力,并引发该国的工业化。

代表团的其他成员是埃利普利姆·夸瓦·阿佩托博尔,洛基·阿格曼·普伦佩和李巨龙。

2020 年 10 月,十四世托比·阿菲德阁下曾携深能源(加纳)一支代表团前往喀麦隆探索电力行业的机遇。

一行还与喀麦隆政府深入探讨了非洲世界航空公司(托比阁下与中国海航合作项目)固定航线航线阿克拉-雅温得-阿克拉(Accra-Yaounde-Accra)飞经杜阿拉(Duala)航班的前景。

访问期间还会见了喀麦隆水利和能源部部长,电力部电力局局长以及电力部门监管局的高级主管。

更是荣幸地会见了喀麦隆共和国总理约瑟夫·迪翁·恩古特博士。

总理代表喀麦隆总统和人民热烈欢迎Togbe Afede及其团队,并表示希望Sunon Asogli Power和非洲世界航空公司将在喀麦隆投资。

深能源(加纳)代表团一行在塞拉利昂


今年三月底,深能源(加纳)计划在一年内于塞拉利昂弗里敦部署 20MWp- 50MWp(兆瓦功率)太阳能光伏发电,四年内再部署 160MW的 Benkongor Hydro 工厂。

公司业务发展经理 Elikplim Apetorgbor 在接受采访时表示,这两个项目的预期总投资成本约为 7 亿美元。

据他介绍,迫切需要由深能源(加纳)部署 20MWp – 50MWp太阳能光伏电站,以增加塞拉利昂首都弗里敦和该国其他地区的电力短缺,并为未来的建设补充电力供应 160MW  Bengongor 水力发电厂的工程,计划在四年内完成。

在谈到该项目时,他解释说,这一目标是在今年 3 月 29 日,深能源(加纳)与塞拉利昂能源部专家及其相关人员会晤之后,所签署谅解备忘录中达成的计划 -- 在一年内在塞拉利昂弗里敦部署 20MWp - 50MWp(兆瓦功率)太阳能光伏发电,在四年内再部署 160MW的 Benkongor Hydro 工厂。

塞拉利昂驻加纳高级专员弗朗西斯·安德森(Frances Anderson)及高级专员一等秘书菲利普·布里玛·卡巴负责接待来自加纳的投资者。

加纳能源部长 Mattew Opoku Prempeh 博士


今年早些时候,在深能源与加纳能源部长 Mattew Opoku Prempeh 博士的会议中,部长曾表示,深能源(加纳)将继续成为该国能源输送的长期合作伙伴。

据他介绍,独立发电商是发电领域的关键角色。

Opoku Prempeh 博士在接受来自深能源(加纳)的六人代表团致辞时说:“ 深能源(加纳)电力是该国能源输送的长期合作伙伴,其 560 兆瓦发电厂占据了 15%的市场份额,在非洲多个国家开展的项目。”

“其关于可再生能源的计划和提案很有趣,例如太阳能,风能和废物转化为能源的项目。能源部将研究其扩张计划,并讨论相应的前进方向。”他强调说。

Asogli 团队访问的目的是正式欢迎这位部长到能源部门,并向他简要介绍该公司的概况及其在加纳的业务以及未来的计划。

Sunon Energy Asogoli is stationed Liberia, Sierra Leone & Cameroon

Sunon Asogli, an Independent Power Producer is set to enter the Liberia power industry.

This follows a visit by Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, co-founder and a Director of Sunon Asogli Power (Gh) Ltd and a 4-member investment and technical team to Monrovia, the Liberian capital, to negotiate a deal in the power generation sector in the West African country.

Explaining his offering to the government of Liberia, he said the  first of the three-pronged offering seeks to acquire an interest in the existing 88 megwatts Mt Coffee Hydro Power Plant in Liberia.

Secondly, the investment is to expand the existing Mt Coffee Hydro Power Plant by 60-80MW in a ‘BOO or BOOT’ mode in the medium term.

The third offering, according to him, in the long term is to develop a new hydro power plant on the St. Paul River to add to the generation capacity of Liberia.

Touching on the expected benefits of the investment to the country, he revealed that the acquired interest in the existing Mt. Coffee Hydro Power Plant is to provide capital that will help government fix the challenged power distribution sector of the electricity supply value chain.

Meanwhile, Togbe Afede XIV disclosed that the deal will enable Liberia to become self-sufficient in energy and become a net exporter of power by taking advantage of the West Africa Power Pool transmission line that connect Cote d Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

Explaining how the investment will inure to the benefit of the consumers of power in Liberia, Togbe Afede predicted that eventually,  electricity tariff in the country will become very competitive and trigger  industrialization in the country.

Other members of the delegation were Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor, Rocky Agyeman Prempeh and Li Julong.


In October 2020, His Excellency Togbe Afede XIV, who is the founder of SAS Finance Group and Africa World Airlines, and Co-founder of Sunon Asogli Power Ghana, has led a team from Sunon Asogli Power to explore opportunities in the power sector of Cameroon.

The team also explored the prospects for Accra-Yaounde-Accra flights, via Douala, by African World Airlines.

During the visit, the team met with the Minister of Water Resources and Energy, the Director of Electricity at the Ministry, and top executives of Electricity Sector Regulatory Agency.

The team was also privileged to meet with His Excellency, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute.

The Prime Minister, on behalf of the President and the people of Cameroon, warmly welcomed Togbe Afede and his team, and expressed the hope that Sunon Asogli Power and Africa World Airlines would invest in Cameroon.

The Prime Minister, who is also a traditional leader, expressed excitement about Togbe’s plans to promote collaboration among African traditional leaders.

 He stressed the importance of Africa to Africa collaboration in moving the continent forward.

Qun Yang, Chairman of Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd 


Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Limited which is Ghana’s biggest Independent Power Producer is making inroads into the West African sub region after making enormous strides in Ghana’s power sector.

The giant power producer is planning to deploy in Freetown, Sierra Leone, a 20MWp-50MWp [megawatt power] Solar PV in one year and another 160MW to be known as Benkongor Hydro plant in four years.

In an interview with the Business Development Manager of the Company, Elikplim Apetorgbor, he said the expected total investment cost for the two projects is about US$700million.

According to him, the 20MWp – 50MWp Solar PV plant deployment by the Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd is urgently needed to augment the power generation shortages in the capital – Freetown and other parts of the country as well as to complement power supply for the future construction works of the 160MW Bengongor Hydro Power plant in four years.

Touching on the deal, he explained that it was reached in a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Energy representing the government of the Republic of Sierra Leone on one hand and the Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd on the other hand. This occured after a meeting with the experts of the Ministry of Energy and other key stakeholders on 29th March, 2021.

The 7- member delegation later met with the Ministers and officials of the Ministries of Finance, Lands and Internal Affairs after which they paid a courtesy call on the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, who was elated about the visit and promised his utmost support to ensure the delivery of the projects within the shortest possible time.

Leading the investors from Ghana was Frances Anderson, Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to Ghana. She was assisted by Philip Brima Kabba, the First Secretary to the High Commission.

The Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd team comprised of Qun Yang, Chairman of Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd ; Wang Zhengjun, Deputy General Manager of the West Africa Development Unit, Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor, and Li Kanglin, Energy Experts and Business Development Managers of West Africa Development Unit (WADU).

Shenzhen Energy Group was led by Togbe Afede XIV, a Development and Investment Expert who is also a Director of Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd.

Energy Minister, Dr. Mattew Opoku Prempeh, had said that Sunon Asogli Power Ltd will continue to remain a longstanding partner in energy delivery in the country.

According to him, the Independent Power Producer is a critical player in the power generation space.

Making remarks when he received a six-member delegation from the Sunon Asogli Power Limited, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said “Asogli Power is a longstanding partner in energy delivery in this country, with its 560 megawatt plant occupying 15% of the market share and with projects in several countries across Africa.”

“Its plans and proposals on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and waste-to-energy projects are interesting. The Ministry of Energy will look at its expansion plans and discuss the way forward accordingly”, he emphasised.

The purpose of the visit of the Asogli team was to formally welcome the minister to the energy sector and also brief me him on the company’s profile and its operations in Ghana, together with its future plans.
